Towns in Northern Bulgaria

A number of small towns which were once flourishing craft-centres are resting in the bosom of the Balkan Range. Kazanlak is the famous town in the Valley of Roses where the Rose festival takes place each year in early June. Koprivstitsa is one of the few towns in Bulgaria which have thoroughly preserved their Revival architecture. The greatest cultural wealth of the town are the colorful Revival houses with high stone walls and the narrow weaving cobblestone streets which add to the authentic atmosphere of the town. The town of Hissar is a prosperous spa resort of national significance with favourable mild climate and more than 20 mineral springs with curative properties. In the pretty town of Gabrovo, a famous craft centre in the past, you can see a great number of museums, art galleries, theatres and the one-of-its-kind House of Humour and Satire, which symbolizes the proverbial stinginess of the people of this town. The town of Sliven, also a former craft-town, boasts an amazing choice of house-museums and art galleries of Renaissance and contemporary Bulgarian art.

Rhodopian towns

A multitude of small towns are nestling in the foothills of the beautiful Rhodopian mountain. The modern ski resort of Pamporovo attracts lovers of winter sports from all over the world. Pamporovo offers perfect conditions both for skiing and snowboarding due to the varied natural relief, thick snow cover and first-class ski facilities. Devin and Velingrad are popular spa resorts where you will find excellent conditions for rest and recreation. The spa centres in Devin and Velingrad are serviced by highly-qualified medical staff. Towns in Rila and Pirin

Black-Sea towns

Melia Hotels manages Marina Palace in Nessebar

One week ago Melia Hotels International signed a contract which certifies that it will manage 4-star Marina Palace in Nessebar. The splendid hotel will be rebranded and its new name will be Sol Marina Palace. It will offer all amenities that are typical for the prestigious world hotel chain in relation to the quality of services and business concept. Currently Spain-based hotel chain primarily manages vacation hotels, however, it has also managed business and urban properties in Europe, Latin America and USA. Melia Hotels International is the biggest hotel chain in Spain and it branded more than 350 hotels worldwide.

Bulgarian management considers that Melia International has the potential to adopt their global expertise on a local scale, so Marina Palace is the best choice. Actually, the chain conducted a research to choose a hotel and primary conditions were hotel’s features, standard of services and customers feedback.

Nessebar is a preferred destination, because Melia International has managed to successfully run another complex with more than 1000 rooms, so this coastal destination has a great potential.
